The instrument serves the calibration of gauge from 0.5 to 100 mm length. The slip gauge to be measured is compared with reference master whose deviation at center is exactly known. With two measuring probes, one at the top and the other at the base plate, this differential measurement gives reliable measurements with extremely high accuracy.
A template profile allows the probes to trace 5 points on the surface of the slip gauge under test and one at the center point of the reference master. The manual remote control allows to move the slip gauge smoothly without jerk and interference from body heat.
The instrument comes in two versions: Manual and Computerized. The computerized version allows quicker inspection its user-friendly interface and intuitive design.
The calibration conform with the requirements of National and International Standards i.e. IS-2984 of 1981 and DIN-861 of 1988.
The following features are determined in accordance with the specifications of the standards:
- Center deviation.
- Parallelism by measuring at 5 points, and
- Thereby selection of the Grade.
The system is useful in the calibration laboratories which are officially approved by the National Accreditation Board.
